Review

One of the hardest parts in life is when you are a teenager because (of) you have to handle group pressure, curiosity, not to imitate (and imitation) bad things, and getting( can make you fall) into vices. Group pressure is when you do things that aren’t necessary(necessarily) good ones, and you do those things to fit in. You also do them to please your group, but some surveys demonstrate that 8 out of 10 guys and 7 out of 10 girls say they would not date someone who smokes or drinks(what's the source of this info?). Besides group pressure, curiosity is something that (pushes) you (to) do (things) because you want to try something even if you know that you don’t have to do it. This curiosity can make you feel good when you try some things, but it can affect you later. You can define imitation as following a model or a pattern; to make a copy, counterpart or semblance of; to copy. But (, but) imitation isn’t always good,(. For) for example, if you watch your father drinking a beer, you will want to drink a beer too. This group pressure, the curiosity, and last but not least the bad imitation, takes you to the most dangerous things in a teenager’s life: vices. What vices can you have? For example, drinking, smoking, taking drugs, pornography, etc. These vices corrupt a teenager’s life and they make him/her a selfish and lonely person. According to some researches(research) 8 out of 10 teens who try smoking get hooked (what study?). Another study says that the concentration of teenagers in studying fades away, they become lazy, etc.(is it the same study?) So if you want to start to take one or more of these vices I just mentioned, think that they could take(lead) you to a bad way(direction).

Effects of smoking

A lot of people think that smoking doesn't have risks in any way, but they don't know that it does, like developing some diseases, and becoming an addict. The immediate effects after you smoke a cigarette include a raise in your hearth rate and in your blood pressure, nausea, watery eyes, hyper acidity, loss of appetite, chronic coughing, etc. You can also develop diseases like respiratory tract infections, emphysema, heart attacks, stomach ulcers, and several cancers that you don't want to have because they can kill you. But these diseases aren't so bad compared to the addiction of smoking. Why is this so bad? Like in any vice, you get to a point in which you depend of a cigarette and you can't live without it, and it's not easy to escape from it. The addiction can manifest in such symptoms like agitation, loss of concentration, change in sleep patterns, and strong cravings, to mention some. You can have a little pleasure when smoking, but think about it before doing it because you don't know how it can affect your body and life.
